The Worship and Music Ministry team is responsible for planning and coordinating the worship and musical offerings for all services of Forest Presbyterian Church. These include the Traditional Worship Service Sundays at 11:00 a.m., the Contemporary Worship Service Sundays at 9:00 a.m., as well as various special services throughout the year.
Worship
Coordinates regular and special scheduled services, such as:
- Regular Sunday morning worship services
- Ash Wednesday
- Maundy Thursday
- Palm Sunday
- Easter Vigil
- Hanging of the Greens
- Christmas Eve family service and candlelight Service
Children’s Chapel
Children’s Chapel is offered during the11:00 a.m. worship service. Children up to 2nd grade participate in worship in the sanctuary and go downstairs to Chapel following the Word with Children. Supervising adults lead worship activities for children.
Music
Coordinates Adult Choir and accompaniment, children’s choirs, chimes groups, guest musicians, and musical services.
Nursery
Facilities are provided for babies and toddlers during the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Worship Services, with adult supervision.
This is coordinated by the Christian Education team.
Contemporary Music Team
Coordinates worship and music for the weekly 9:00 a.m. Contemporary Worship Service.
An energetic praise ensemble leads the congregation in powerful, contemporary songs of praise.
The Contemporary Worship Service also includes elements of drama and video scriptural interpretations.
