Fellowship
The Forest Presbyterian Church has fellowship and social events each month. You do not have to be a member to participate; in fact, visitors often join in these events in order to get better acquainted with others in the church. Many of the events intentionally bring adults and youth together to foster appreciation and understanding between the generations.- Dinners for Six or Seven bring adults and families together once a month for dinner. Singles are encouraged to participate along with couples. Some groups meet in homes, others in restaurants. The groups are re-shuffled spring and fall so folks have the opportunity to meet new people.
- A Men's Group meets for breakfast the 4th Sunday of each month. They gather from 8:00 until 9:15 at Carol's Restaurant. Programs vary and include local mission speakers, faith issues and informal sharing among the men about topics of current interest.
- An annual all-church picnic in June offers a combination of good food, games and recreation, and singing for everyone.
- Periodic pot luck dinners unite the church family around tables after worship. These often include celebrations at Christmas and Easter time.
- On Game Nights children, youth and adults join in a variety of board games.
- Adult events are planned seasonally in which adults go to area theaters and music events.
