Christian Education
The Forest Presbyterian Church School offers classes for young people in preschool through high school each Sunday morning, September through June, from 9:45 until 10:45. We use the FaithWeaver Bible Curriculum developed by Group Publishing. This curriculum helps weave faith into life. It incorporates Bible learning, Bible application, worship, building Christian relationships, and serving God.
In the FaithWeaver curriculum:
- Each lesson concentrates on answering one important question from the Bible and applying it to our lives.
- Scripture memorization focuses on understanding and application.
- Systematic coverage of the Bible helps children put God's story all together.
- The curriculum makes Bible learning fun.
- Student books encourage continued learning at home.
During the fall quarter young people are studying "Into the Promised Land"--the Old Testament stories in Exodus.
Adult classes meet at the same time, 9:45-10:45 Sundays. One is a Bible study and is studying the New Testament letters James, 1 & 2 Peter, 1, 2 & 3 John, and Jude. The Presbyterian curriculum "The Present Word" is used, with the Pastor and other class members lending leadership. The other class addresses contemporary issues, informed by the Bible.
